The Michigan Laborers’ Training and Apprenticeship Institute (MLTAI) is inviting nominations for its inaugural Apprentice of the Year Award. The award is a formal recognition of a Michigan Laborer that is currently enrolled in our apprenticeship program, and who demonstrates excellence on the job and in the classroom. This includes, but is not limited to:
- outstanding attendance and punctuality on the job
- skilled craft mastery and productivity
- demonstrated leadership and team-building skills
- safety awareness, and
- commitment to their craft, employer, and the construction community
The award-winning apprentice will receive special recognition for his/her accomplishments and a $2,500 cash prize. We encourage you to consider employees/members of your Local Union as potential award recipients. It is a great way to reward an employee or union member for their outstanding performance and character.
